St. Dominic Savio is was the opitome of a devout child. While many “preteens” are already listening to questionable music on the radio and watching borderline inappropriate “shorts” on YouTube while trying to impress their friends that don’t attend church, St. Dominic Savio had different desires and things that he was focusing on.

He had his mind and heart set on becoming a priest and was already enrolled in the school that St. John Bosco had created from his vision of Mary.

St. Dominic Savio Life Story

St. Dominic Savio lived from 1842 until 1857. He was raised in a devoted Catholic family and was born in Riva di Chieri, Italy. He shown a significant interest in the priesthood and a steadfast dedication to his faith from an early age.

When he was just 14 years old, St. Dominic Savio joined the Salesian Society, a religious order established by St. John Bosco. He was renowned for his unwavering devotion to God and compassion for the underprivileged. Despite his young, he shown natural leadership qualities and was immediately chosen as a prefect, in charge of monitoring the conduct of his fellow students. (Vatican.va)
